IC CHARACTERISTICS:

• PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Female. Mid- to late twenties. Indian of nationality, so she's of a darker complexion (her PB is Filipino, in lack of fitting Indian PBs). Nikiya is taller than the average Indian woman, with long and slender limbs that make her dancing exquisite to watch. She always wears jewellery along with various temple outfits, resembling this and outside the temple, saris. Her hair is long, black and straight, most often styled in a braid.
• DEMEANOR: Being moderate of temperament, Nikiya is generally a rather pleasant person, nursing a serene and serious attitude, but under the right circumstances, her temper can flare up and she has it in her to be extremely passionate.
• ABILITIES: Nikiya is an ordinary human being, but has been trained in temple dance since she was very young.
• OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Nikiya is a Hindu and talks about religion a lot, since she's a devadasi. She has been brought up to believe that karma is and will be a bitch to those who don't adhere to the Hindu faith and she will probably bring this up several times and on several occasions, so if this (or any) sort of talk about religion offends you, let me know and I'll avoid the subject altogether.

IC PERMISSIONS:

• MENTAL/MIMICRY: Nikiya has an open mind, literally, so she'd be an easy victim. However, please discuss it with me first, before doing anything of the mindfucking kind to her.
• VIOLENCE: No problem, but I'd like if we could talk it over first. Nikiya is not a fighter by any means, but she has a temper and might get herself in trouble.
• MAGIC: She'll probably think you've either been blessed by the gods, if you aren't a god yourself.
• DEBATE: Oh, sure, she's good at that and isn't one to back down in the face of one, if you're discussing a topic with her that she's strongly dedicated to, so be prepared for some stubbornness.
• HUGGING/KISSING/PHYSICAL AFFECTION: All physical affection is more than welcome! Nikiya isn't adverse to it, but she is a dedicated devadasi and wishes to remain pure, her relationship to Gamzatti being her one weakness in that regard.
• SHIPS: Gamzatti/Nikiya is my OTP, but I'm also open to cross-canon shipping as long as it's F/F and the development leading up to it makes sense characterisation-wise.
